- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined and shape into a loaf.
- Place the meatloaf in a baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix together tomato sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, and oregano.
- Pour the sauce over the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can include chopped bell peppers or mushrooms in the meat mixture.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or a side salad for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
