- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
- Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add cooked bacon or ham between the layers.
- Make sure to slice the potatoes evenly for consistent cooking.
