- 4 large sweet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the sweet potatoes in the dish.
- In a bowl, mix heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the sweet potatoes.
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the cream.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining sweet potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

- For a healthier version, substitute heavy cream with a lighter cream or milk.
- Feel free to add herbs like thyme or rosemary for extra flavor.
