Ingredients

  • 4 large sweet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sweet potatoes in the dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the sweet potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the cream.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining sweet potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
