- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup of long-grain white rice
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika, then add them to the skillet.
- Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Add the rice and stir for a minute, then pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes or until rice is cooked.
- Stir in the heavy cream and return the chicken to the skillet, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
- Can substitute chicken with turkey or tofu for a different protein option.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
