Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 12 slider buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  4. Simmer the mixture for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. While the mixture simmers, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Place the slider buns on a baking sheet and spoon the Sloppy Joe mixture onto each bun.
  7. Top with cheese if desired, and bake for 5-7 minutes until the buns are toasted.
