- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
- Add the egg and mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese icing over the cooled cookies.
