- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into meatballs.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides.
- Add crushed tomatoes and oregano to the skillet, simmer for 20 minutes.
- Serve meatballs and sauce over spaghetti, garnished with additional parsley and Parmesan if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Meatballs can be made ahead and frozen for later use.
- Serve with garlic bread and a side salad for a complete meal.
