Description

A delicious homemade version of Starbucks cranberry bliss bars featuring real white chocolate and cranberries in a soft blondie base.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. While the bars are baking, prepare the frosting by beating together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  10. Once the bars are cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting on top and sprinkle with additional dried cranberries.
  11. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • For a festive touch, add orange zest to the frosting.
  • These bars can be frozen for up to 3 months.
