- 1 package of puff pastry (thawed)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries (chopped)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into heart shapes.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Add the chopped strawberries to the cream cheese mixture and stir gently.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart-shaped pastry.
- Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling to create a heart shape.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.

- For a sweeter filling, adjust the powdered sugar to taste.
