- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- Cinnamon butter (for serving)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces, shaping each into a ball.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with cinnamon butter.
Notes
- For best results, use room temperature ingredients.
- Make sure the milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast.
- These rolls can be frozen after baking; reheat in the oven before serving.
