- 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup French fried onions
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Add the blanched green beans to the mixture and stir until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top with French fried onions and shredded cheddar cheese if using.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
Notes
- For a healthier version, use low-fat cream of mushroom soup.
- Feel free to add cooked bacon or mushrooms for extra flavor.
