Description

A rich and creamy baked mac and cheese dish featuring three types of cheese for an ultimate comfort food experience.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, salt, and pepper to the sauce.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and blue cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce and mix well.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with breadcrumbs.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add some cayenne pepper to the cheese sauce.
  • Feel free to substitute the cheeses based on your preference.
