Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until bubbly.
  4. Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.
  5. Stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted and smooth.
  6. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the cheese sauce.

  8. If desired, transfer to a baking dish, top with breadcrumbs, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes until golden brown.
