- 4 witlof heads
- 200 g brie (sliced)
- 150 g bacon (diced)
- 50 g butter (melted)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon mustard (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Trim the ends of the witlof and remove any damaged outer leaves.
- In a skillet, cook the diced bacon until crispy, then set aside.
- Place the witlof heads in a baking dish and drizzle with melted butter.
- Season with salt, pepper, and optional mustard.
- Top each witlof head with slices of brie and the crispy bacon.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the witlof is tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

- For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon.
