Ingredients

  • 4 witlof heads
  • 200 g brie (sliced)
  • 150 g bacon (diced)
  • 50 g butter (melted)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Trim the ends of the witlof and remove any damaged outer leaves.
  3. In a skillet, cook the diced bacon until crispy, then set aside.
  4. Place the witlof heads in a baking dish and drizzle with melted butter.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and optional mustard.
  6. Top each witlof head with slices of brie and the crispy bacon.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the witlof is tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
