Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons gelatin powder
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 cup citrus juice (orange, lemon, or lime)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for glaze)
  • Zest of 1 citrus fruit

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm cream mixture and stir until fully dissolved.
  5. Pour the mixture into molds and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  6. For the citrus glaze, combine citrus juice and sugar in a saucepan and heat until the sugar dissolves.
  7. Stir in the citrus zest and let it cool.
  8. Once the panna cotta is set, carefully unmold it and drizzle the citrus glaze on top before serving.
