Description

Air-Fryer Carnitas Tacos are a delicious and easy way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a flavorful feast.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, black pepper, cumin, chili powder, onion, and garlic.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
  4. Place the pork in the air fryer basket and cook for 30-35 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 190°F (88°C).
  5. Remove the pork from the air fryer and let it rest for 10 minutes before shredding.
  6. Warm the corn tortillas in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing shredded pork on the tortillas and garnishing with cilantro and lime juice.

  • For extra flavor, marinate the pork shoulder overnight.
  • Serve with your favorite taco toppings like avocado, salsa, or cheese.
