Description

Amish Apple Fritter Bread is a delightful combination of sweet apples and cinnamon, baked into a moist and fluffy bread that is perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fold in the diced apples gently.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over the batter.
  8. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
