Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to a low heat, around 225°F (107°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
- In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.
- Place the ribs on the grill bone side down and cook for 3-4 hours, maintaining a low temperature.
- During the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce.
- Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the ribs overnight with the spice rub.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the ribs reach an internal temperature of 190°F (88°C) for optimal tenderness.
- Experiment with different BBQ sauces for varied flavors.
