- 12 large jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 slices of bacon
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
- Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
- Place the wrapped jalapeños on the smoker rack.
- Smoke for about 2 hours or until the bacon is crispy and the jalapeños are tender.
- Remove from the smoker and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add diced jalapeños or other spices to the cream cheese mixture.
- Adjust the amount of bacon based on your preference for crispiness.
- These poppers can also be cooked in an oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 25-30 minutes if a smoker is not available.
