Description

BBQ Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers are a delicious appetizer featuring jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in crispy bacon, perfect for grilling.


Ingredients

  • 12 large jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 slices of bacon
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
  6. Place the wrapped jalapeños on the smoker rack.
  7. Smoke for about 2 hours or until the bacon is crispy and the jalapeños are tender.
  8. Remove from the smoker and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add diced jalapeños or other spices to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Adjust the amount of bacon based on your preference for crispiness.
