Description

A delicious and hearty dish of BBQ baked beans enhanced with crispy bacon and sweet brown sugar, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans of navy beans, drained and rinsed
  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup of BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the navy beans, cooked bacon, sautéed onion, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, until bubbly and heated through.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños.
  • Can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of brown sugar.
