Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Coleslaw (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine chicken breasts, BBQ sauce, chicken broth, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  3. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  4. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and mix it with the sauce.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns if desired.
  6. Serve the pulled chicken on the buns and top with coleslaw if using.
