- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, broccoli)
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated beef, cooking until browned.
- Add the mixed vegetables to the skillet and stir-fry until tender.
- Serve the beef and vegetables over cooked rice.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add gochujang (Korean chili paste) to the marinade.
- Feel free to substitute the beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
- This dish can be served with kimchi on the side for added flavor.
