Description

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (about 45 lbs)
  • 1 can of beer (12 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ spice rub
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  2. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub the olive oil all over the chicken.
  4. Season the chicken with BBQ spice rub, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Open the can of beer and drink or pour out half of it.
  6. Insert the beer can into the cavity of the chicken.
  7. Place the chicken upright on the grill and close the lid.

  9. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
