Description

A delicious and easy-to-make blackberry cobbler baked in a cast iron skillet, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the blackberries with 1/2 cup of sugar and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased cast iron skillet.
  6. Evenly distribute the blackberry mixture over the batter.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
