Description

A refreshing and aromatic summer drink combining the flavors of blueberries, lavender, and lemon.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup dried culinary lavender
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh lavender sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, sugar, and dried lavender. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and let the mixture steep for 15 minutes.
  3. Strain the lavender syrup into a pitcher, discarding the lavender.
  4. Add the fresh blueberries and remaining 3 cups of water to the pitcher.
  5. Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh lavender sprigs.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar according to your taste.
  • For a sparkling version, replace some of the water with sparkling water.
  • Can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
