- 4 lbs pork shoulder
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the apple cider vinegar, water, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Place the pork shoulder in a roasting pan and pour the vinegar mixture over it.
- Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 4-5 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
- Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 30 minutes before shredding.
- Serve the pulled pork with additional vinegar sauce on the side.
Notes
- For a spicier sauce, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
- This dish can be made in a slow cooker for convenience.
