Description

A delicious and easy recipe for grilling salmon on a cedar plank with a sweet and tangy maple mustard glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 salmon fillet (about 1.5 pounds)
  • 1 cedar plank (soaked in water for at least 1 hour)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the soaked cedar plank on the grill and close the lid for about 5 minutes until it starts to smoke.
  4. Place the salmon fillet on the cedar plank, skin side down.
  5. Brush the maple mustard glaze generously over the salmon.
  6. Close the grill lid and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove the cedar plank from the grill and let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure to soak the cedar plank for at least 1 hour to prevent it from burning on the grill.
  • You can adjust the sweetness of the glaze by adding more or less maple syrup.
  • Serve with grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
