Description

Delicious and gooey chocolate lava cakes that can be prepared in just 15 minutes, perfect for a quick dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with flour.
  3. Melt the butter and chocolate chips together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until well combined.
  5. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and stir until combined.
  6. Fold in the flour, vanilla extract, and salt until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared ramekins.
  8. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges are firm but the center is soft.
  9. Let cool for 1 minute, then invert onto plates and serve immediately.
