Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cup pickles
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and form loose balls.
  3. Place the beef balls on the hot skillet and smash them down with a spatula to form patties.
  4. Season the patties with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until a crust forms, then flip the patties.
  6. Add cheese on top if desired and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  7. While the burgers are cooking, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl to make the secret sauce.
  8. Toast the burger buns on the skillet until golden brown.
  9. Assemble the burgers by spreading the secret sauce on the bottom bun, adding lettuce, tomato, pickles, and the burger patty on top.
  10. Finish with the top bun and serve immediately.
