- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 orange, zested and juiced
- 1 cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries under cold water and remove any stems or damaged berries.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the water and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, and cinnamon stick to the saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and discard the cinnamon stick.
- Let the sauce cool to room temperature before serving. It will thicken further as it cools.
