- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
- Dredge the chicken in cornstarch, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Heat until simmering.
- Toss the baked chicken in the sauce until well coated.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For extra crunch, double fry the chicken pieces.
- Adjust the sweetness of the sauce by adding more or less honey.
- Serve with steamed rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
