Description

A rich and creamy Puerto Rican coconut drink, perfect for the holidays and celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, evaporated milk, white rum, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
  2. Blend on high until all ingredients are well combined and smooth.
  3. If desired, add shredded coconut and pulse a few times to mix.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or spice as needed.
  5. Pour the mixture into a bottle or jar and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  6. Serve chilled, garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg if desired.

Notes

  • Coquito can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a month.
  • Shake well before serving as ingredients may separate.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum.
