- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine sliced peaches, cornstarch, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- Spread the peach mixture over the crust in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top of the peaches.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For best results, use ripe peaches.
- These bars can be served warm or chilled.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
