Description
A delicious twist on classic deviled eggs, featuring sweet candied bacon and a spicy kick from jalapeños.

- 6 large eggs
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 jalapeño, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chives for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the bacon on a baking sheet and sprinkle brown sugar over it.
- Bake the bacon for 15-20 minutes until crispy and caramelized. Let it cool and chop into small pieces.
- Hard boil the eggs, then cool them in ice water.
- Peel the eggs and cut them in half lengthwise.
- Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.
- Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped jalapeño, salt, and pepper to the yolks and mix until smooth.
- Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture.
- Top each filled egg with candied bacon and garnish with chives.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of jalapeño based on your spice preference.
- For a sweeter flavor, add more brown sugar to the bacon.
- These can be made a few hours in advance; just keep them refrigerated until serving.
