A delicious and easy-to-make salted caramel apple pie that combines the sweetness of apples with the rich flavor of salted caramel.

- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 6 cups of sliced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Additional caramel sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and flour. Mix well.
- Place the pie crust in a pie dish and fill it with the apple mixture.
- Drizzle salted caramel sauce over the apple filling.
- Cover with another pie crust or create a lattice top. Seal the edges.
- Brush the top with egg wash.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Let it cool before serving. Drizzle with additional caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use a mix of sweet and tart apples.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
