Ingredients

- 2 pounds of potatoes
- 1/2 cup of sour cream
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup of cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/4 cup of green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks.
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add sour cream, milk, and butter to the potatoes.
- Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in cheddar cheese, bacon, and green onions.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with additional cheese and green onions if desired.
Notes
- For a healthier version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
- Can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
