Description

Grilled Jalapeño Poppers are a delicious appetizer filled with cream cheese and spices, wrapped in bacon and grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 fresh jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 12 slices of bacon, cut in half
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Wrap each filled jalapeño with a half slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
  6. Place the wrapped jalapeños on the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crispy and the jalapeños are tender.
  7. Remove from the grill and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
  • These can be made ahead of time and refrigerated before grilling.
  • Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
