- 4 Italian sausages
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 hoagie rolls
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: provolone cheese, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced bell peppers and onion with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Grill the sausages for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through.
- During the last 5 minutes of grilling, add the peppers and onions to the grill, cooking until tender.
- Slice the hoagie rolls and toast them lightly on the grill.
- Assemble the hoagies by placing the grilled sausage on the roll, topping with grilled peppers and onions, and adding cheese if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Feel free to use any type of sausage you prefer.
- For a spicier kick, consider adding jalapeños or spicy sausage.
- This recipe can easily be doubled for a larger crowd.
