Description

Grilled Sausage & Peppers Hoagies are a delicious and hearty sandwich filled with juicy sausages and colorful bell peppers, perfect for a summer barbecue or a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 Italian sausages
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: provolone cheese slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced bell peppers and onion with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Grill the sausages for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through.
  4. During the last 5 minutes of grilling, add the peppers and onions to the grill, cooking until they are tender.
  5. Slice the hoagie rolls and toast them lightly on the grill.
  6. Assemble the hoagies by placing the grilled sausages in the rolls, topping with the grilled peppers and onions, and adding cheese if desired.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
