Ingredients

- 1 cup black beans, cooked and mashed
- 1 cup quinoa, cooked
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped bell peppers
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for grilling
- Burger buns
- Assorted toppings (lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheese, etc.)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed black beans, cooked quinoa, breadcrumbs, onions, bell peppers, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined and form into burger patties.
- Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium heat.
- Grill the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute.
- Assemble your burger with your choice of toppings.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the toppings based on your preference.
- These patties can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use.
- Serve with a side of sweet potato fries for a complete meal.
