Description

A nutritious and flavorful homemade bone broth that can be prepared in just 8 hours, packed with double the collagen for added health benefits.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef bones
  • 2 pounds chicken bones
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 4 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 10 cups water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the beef bones on a baking sheet and roast for 30 minutes.
  3. In a large pot, combine the roasted bones, chicken bones, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, and apple cider vinegar.
  4. Add 10 cups of water to the pot.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  6. Cover and let it simmer for 8 hours, skimming off any foam that rises to the top.
  7. After 8 hours, strain the broth through a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Let the broth cool before storing it in the refrigerator or freezer.

  • For a richer flavor, you can add herbs like thyme or bay leaves.
