- 2 pounds beef bones
- 2 pounds chicken bones
- 4 carrots, chopped
- 4 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 onion, quartered
- 4 cloves garlic, smashed
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 10 cups water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the beef bones on a baking sheet and roast for 30 minutes.
- In a large pot, combine the roasted bones, chicken bones, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, and apple cider vinegar.
- Add 10 cups of water to the pot.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
- Cover and let it simmer for 8 hours, skimming off any foam that rises to the top.
- After 8 hours, strain the broth through a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Let the broth cool before storing it in the refrigerator or freezer.

- For a richer flavor, you can add herbs like thyme or bay leaves.
- Bone broth can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 6 months.
