Description
A refreshing and sweet homemade strawberry basil lemonade perfect for summer gatherings.
Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 cups water
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- In a blender, combine strawberries, basil leaves, and sugar. Blend until smooth.
- In a large pitcher, mix the strawberry-basil puree with freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Add water to the pitcher and stir well to combine.
- Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Serve over ice and garnish with additional basil leaves and strawberry slices if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar according to your taste.
- For a sparkling version, replace some of the water with sparkling water.
- This lemonade can be made a day in advance for convenience.
