Description

A traditional Puerto Rican drink made with coconut milk, rum, and spices, perfect for holiday celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine coconut milk, evaporated milk, and sweetened condensed milk.
  2. Add white rum, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Blend until smooth and well combined.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or spice levels as desired.
  5. Pour into bottles and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  6. Serve chilled, shaking well before pouring into glasses.

Notes

  • Coquito can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a month.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum.
  • Garnish with additional cinnamon or coconut flakes if desired.
