- 4 cups of cubed bread
- 2 cups of pumpkin puree
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, milk, heavy cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
- Add the cubed bread to the mixture and gently fold until the bread is well coated.
- If using, fold in the raisins.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!

- For a richer flavor, use brioche or challah bread.
