- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and flour. Toss to coat the apples evenly.
- Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and fill it with the apple mixture.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, and oats for the topping. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples in the pie dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
