- 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create the teriyaki sauce.
- Marinate the chicken thighs in the teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the marinated chicken, cooking for about 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve the sliced chicken drizzled with remaining teriyaki sauce and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, simmer the remaining marinade in the skillet after removing the chicken.
- Serve with steamed rice and vegetables for a complete meal.
