Description

Korean BBQ Beef Skewers are tender, caramelized, and perfect for cookouts, offering a delicious blend of flavors that will impress your guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Skewers (soaked in water if wooden)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated beef onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Remove from the grill and sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add vegetables like bell peppers or onions to the skewers.
  • Make sure to soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  • These skewers can be served with rice or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
