Description

A refreshing and aromatic drink perfect for celebrating Mother’s Day, combining the floral notes of lavender with the soothing qualities of chamomile and the zesty flavor of lemonade.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender
  • 2 chamomile tea bags
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh lavender sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves to create a simple syrup.
  2. Add the dried lavender to the syrup and let it steep for about 15 minutes.
  3. Strain the lavender syrup into a pitcher and discard the lavender.
  4. In a separate pot, boil 2 cups of water and steep the chamomile tea bags for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the tea bags and add the chamomile tea to the pitcher with the lavender syrup.
  6. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and the remaining 1 cup of water.
  7. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  8. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh lavender sprigs.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar according to your taste.
  • For a stronger lavender flavor, let the lavender steep longer in the syrup.
  • This drink can be made a day in advance for convenience.
