Description

A delicious and easy-to-make breakfast casserole perfect for lazy Sunday mornings with the family.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread, cubed
  • 1 pound of breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer the cubed bread, cooked sausage, and shredded cheese.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and sausage layers in the baking dish.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  6. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes or until the casserole is set and golden brown.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
