Description

A delightful dessert that combines the classic flavors of Neapolitan ice cream in a rolled cake form, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups Neapolitan ice cream (strawberry, vanilla, chocolate)
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a jelly roll pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture and mix well.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  6. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  7. Place a clean kitchen towel on a flat surface and dust it with powdered sugar.
  8. Invert the cake onto the towel and carefully peel off the parchment paper.
  9. Roll the cake with the towel and let it cool completely.
  10. Once cooled, unroll the cake and spread the Neapolitan ice cream evenly over it.
  11. Roll the cake back up without the towel and wrap it in plastic wrap.
  12. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  13. Before serving, slice and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
